GERBING HEATED CLOTHING
Cold weather can be difficult for a motorcycle rider. Many give up their hobby entirely in the winter months, especially in more northerly climates, relying instead on cars or public transportation. However, modern heated motorcycle clothing technology offers a real, practical alternative. Gerbing heated clothing allows you to keep riding in even the coldest weather, yet is lighter, more flexible and less bulky than the merely insulated riding gear many of us are already familiar with. Gerbing heated gear, specifically the Gerbing Heated Jacket and Gerbing Heated Vest let you stay in the saddle, and in comfort, all winter long.
This electrically heated jacket is designed to be worn instead of the thermal lining of your existing outer shell coat or jacket. It is itself insulated, and the heating panels cover almost the whole inner surface of the jacket and the collar, so you definitely will not need to double-up. Just wear a long-sleeved shirt or base layer under the heated jacket, and you’re guaranteed a warm ride in even the worst conditions. This jacket also forms the hub of an entire Gerbing heated gear system connecting your other pieces together so that you have only a single connection to your bike’s power system.
This is much like the heated jacket above but is a lighter garment and of course lacks the heated arms. It does still feature the heated collar that is one of Gerbing heated gear’s most useful features. It will also serve as a hub for other Gerbing heated clothing items, though it does not feature connections for gloves.
Of course, Gerbing Heated gear has your legs covered as well. As you know, the front of your legs (and to a lesser extent, your thighs) get cold first when riding in cold conditions. These trousers feature ultra-flexible microwire heating elements here and nowhere else to ensure your total comfort on the road. These are another part of the entire Gerbing heated clothing system, and connect to the jacket or vest we told about above. They also connect Gerbing Heated Socks to the system, eliminating unnecessary wires.
